The Grounded Madrehood Escuelita is a virtual learning community for mamas in pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond, offering education and practices to nurture your mind, body, and heart. Here, we slow down, honor our needs, and create space for grounding, growth, and rhythms of care through every season of madrehood.
Through virtual grounding & journaling cafecitos, wellness pláticas, and on-demand resources, this space helps moms go from feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves to feeling grounded, supported, and more at home in their motherhood journey.
You’ve tried to join a mom group for support, but ended up feeling more alone in your experience, like you had to code-switch or hide parts of you just to belong.
You’ve been surviving motherhood in silence, doing your best, but feeling unseen and undervalued.
You want to feel more grounded, rested, and connected to yourself again-but the noise of daily life and the pressure to be a “good mom” keep getting in the way.
You know motherhood wellness takes work, but you yearn for support that understands the real-life nuances of being a first-gen, Latina, &/or BIPOC mama in the United States.
You’re longing for me time that actually nourishes you: journaling, reflection, and practices that help you come back to your voice and values.

Many moms believe that self-neglect and silence are just a part of being a “good mom,” but the truth is that this often leads to burnout, and burning out doesn’t help us or our families.
When I became a mother, I struggled with finding my new rhythms, balance, resting and caring for my needs. Sure some of it was just the reality of a new schedule, but a large part was related to the guilt and shame I felt when I advocated or cared for me too. Self-sacrifice and staying small was modeled in my perceptions of a good mom and woman, so I started going down that road too…and realized I was headed to burn out.
But when I began to root myself in compassion, cultural connection, and community care- everything shifted. And now, I want that for you too.
And that’s what the Escuelita is: Not another mom group, but a sacred space where we learn how to mother in a healthy way, together.
❌ Surviving postpartum and motherhood on autopilot- and start nurturing yourself with compassion, cultura, and collective care.
❌ Silencing your needs and start tending to them with gentleness and grace.
❌ Sacrificing all your “me time” to meet every demand and start honoring your own needs with the same love you give so freely.
❌ Feeling guilty about pausing or taking a nap - and reframe rest as necessary care for the whole family.
❌ Running on autopilot and self-doubt in your motherhood- and start leading with trust, compassion and confidence.

Finding time for yourself can feel nearly impossible as a mom and that’s one of the biggest challenges of madrehood mental health. That’s why this space is designed to help you gently carve out moments of care, even if it starts with just 5–10 minutes a week. Whether you join the live cafecitos or practice on your own time, I’ll support you in building a rhythm that prioritizes you- with no pressure, just presence.
You’re not alone. Many mamas have had to code-switch or hide parts of themselves to feel accepted in traditional support spaces. The Escuelita was built with cultural and generational awareness at the center - especially honoring the experiences of first-gen, immigrant, and culturally diverse families - while welcoming anyone who wants a space grounded in compassion, cultura, and community care. Here, your full self is welcome, and your lived story is held with care, respect, and belonging.
You don’t have to be. These practices are guided, gentle, and grounded in cultura. It’s less about doing it right and more about giving yourself room to breathe, feel, and heal.
You do. You’ve been holding so much for so long and this is your invitation to be held too. You don’t have to earn support. It’s your right.

A first-gen therapist, mental health educator, and toddler mamá who helps other mamas reconnect with themselves through cultura, compassion, and community-rooted care.
I created this Escuelita because I know how complex and layered motherhood can feel, especially in a country that often treats birth like a medical event and motherhood as an automatic path to burnout.
I believe that being a mamá is more than caring for your children- it’s also about tending to your own transformation with gentleness, holistic support and rhythms of care that reflect your real life and capacity.
And I’m here to help you reclaim your voice, your power, your rest in madrehood-without shame, silence, or shrinking the fullness of who you are.
